Wow Event Hire was founded in 2004 to provide products and services that bring an extra element of fun, excitement and style to special events both large and small.
The business is run by Ben Marrin and based in Cardiff. Before starting Wow Event hire Ben spent 10 years in the hotel, catering and events industry in the UK and abroad. This included working for the Truffle Group, Sydney Australia during the 2000 Olympics, including responsiblity for all catering and event services for Nike and Samsung. Ben has organised events from the closing party for 30,000 Olympic volunteers to small private parties.
After returning to the UK, Ben joined the Celtic Manor Resort 5 Star Resort and spent 4 years organising and running events both large and small, from major conferences for blue chip companies to the annual Wales open golf tournament and hundreds of smaller events and weddings.
In 2009 Wow opened up London and Surrey Branches. Nick Bloomer has joined as a non-executive director & Investor. Nick brings 30yrs of senior level corporate experience to the business including time as the Managing Director of a London Stock Exchange listed PLC and more than 7 years involvement in the event textiles sector.

Working at the Celtic Manor gave Ben the inspiration to set up Wow Event Hire. “While working at the Celtic Manor I realised that all events, large or small, need that extra something, I wanted Wow to provide products and services that gave a sense of occasion, style and most of all an element of fun”
